BUILD FOUNDRY

How we work

Clear scope. Close collaboration.

A defined project, an ongoing team, or support for a live system. Choose what fits your stage.

Fixed-scope project

“I know what I want built.”

  • Scope and price agreed before any work starts
  • Billed against milestones, not hours
  • A fixed delivery date we plan backwards from
  • Changes quoted separately, never absorbed silently

Not for work where the requirements are still moving — a retainer costs you less.

Monthly retainer

“I need a team, not a one-off.”

  • A set monthly capacity you can plan around
  • Priorities reset with you at the start of each cycle
  • Design, engineering, QA and DevOps from one team
  • Thirty days' notice, either direction

Not for a single well-defined build — a fixed-scope project is cheaper and simpler.

Talk about a retainer →

Support & maintenance

“It's built. It needs an owner.”

  • Technical audit before any commitment is made
  • Agreed response windows written into the contract
  • A patch and upgrade cadence you can plan around
  • Feature work resumes once the foundation is sound

Not for greenfield work — if nothing exists yet, start with a scoped project.

Plan your budget

A starting point for the conversation.

These ranges help you plan. Your proposal sets out the scope, assumptions, price, and timeline.

AI systems and custom integrations are quoted around the use case and deployment needs.

Build Foundry is a registered micro enterprise (Udyam MSME) but is not GST-registered, so invoices carry a Udyam number rather than a GSTIN and no GST is charged. That also means there is no input tax credit for you to claim. If your finance team needs one, tell us in the first message rather than finding out at the invoice.

₹15,000 – ₹40,000

A few pages, your information and photos, and a contact form. Built on a solid template with your branding, and set up properly so Google can find you.

1–2 weeks

A proper business website

₹40,000 – ₹1,25,000

Designed for you rather than adapted from a template. More pages, a blog or gallery, enquiry forms, and real work on speed and search.

3–5 weeks

A site that does something

₹1,25,000 – ₹4,00,000

Bookings, payments, customer logins, an area only your staff can see. The point is what people can do on it, not what it says.

6–12 weeks

A full platform

₹4,00,000+

Several kinds of user, approval steps, documents and certificates, other systems connected to it.

3 months and up

Someone to look after it

from ₹8,000 / month

Fixes, security updates, small changes, and an engineer your team can raise things with.

ongoing

These are ranges from work of this shape, not quotes. What moves the number is how many other systems have to connect, whether old information needs moving across, and how much has to be designed from scratch rather than adapted.

Payment terms & project capacity

Larger platform projects often cost ₹12,00,000 – ₹15,00,000 and take six months or more. For bigger projects, we’ll check whether we have enough people and time to deliver.

Payment before we start
For fixed-scope projects, you pay 30% before work starts. Retainers and support are paid monthly in advance. We only bill you after you approve the written scope and cost estimate.
Pay the rest in stages
The remaining amount is split across agreed project stages. We invoice each stage after you review and approve it, with no more than one stage left unpaid at a time.
Payment due in 14 days
Please pay within 14 days of the invoice date. We don’t charge interest for late payments, but work pauses until overdue invoices are paid.
How to pay
Indian clients are billed in rupees and can pay by bank transfer or UPI. International clients are billed the equivalent amount in US dollars or British pounds and pay by bank transfer.
What affects the price?

Integrations, data migration, security requirements, design complexity, and support hours affect the scope. We agree these with you before quoting. Design and ongoing support are priced separately.

From first conversation to live product

See progress at every stage.

Know what’s happening, what you’ll receive, and where your input helps. We agree review points before work begins.

Understand

Start with the problem worth solving.

We learn how your business works, who will use the product, and what gets in their way. We review existing tools and agree what a useful first version should achieve.

Your part

Share your goals, constraints, and examples of how things work today.

What you receive

  • Notes from team conversations
  • Review of your existing setup
  • Agreed goals and success criteria

Deliverables are agreed around your project’s scope.

Explore a stage above. Already have a product? We start with a review and agree which stages you need.

Included in every engagement

Good work starts with clear expectations.

You own all of it
Code, infrastructure and documentation live in your accounts, in your name, from the first day — not handed over at the end.
No lock-in
Thirty days' notice, any time. We hand over properly and help your next team get up to speed. Nothing about how we work makes leaving hard.
Fixed price means fixed
If we misjudged how long something in the agreed scope would take, that is ours to absorb — you will not get a change request for something we should have foreseen. If the scope itself changes, we price the change and you decide. The difference is which of us got it wrong, and we will say plainly which one it was.
One team, from build to support
Designers, developers, and support engineers work together on your project. You have direct access to the specialists responsible for each area.
We will tell you not to build
If an off-the-shelf tool solves your problem for a fraction of the cost, we will say so — even though it means we do not get the work.
Estimates come with their reasoning
You get the assumptions behind every number, so you can challenge them. A quote you cannot interrogate is a guess with a decimal point.

Tell us what exists, what needs to change, and when. We reply within one business day.
